 About Us

 

GYUF is developed, designed and established by experienced youth leaders and activists from different countries. The idea of the foundation was developed during the years of work, international cooperation, meetings in various international youth events. The Founders of the foundation strongly believe that by uniting our efforts in the youth field and mobilizing the youth all over the world we can handle global challenges and solve a lot of serious problems, which young people are facing nowadays.

Our team is aimed at encouraging and motivating young people around the world to become active citizens, who will participate in community life and/or just find their place in the life.

GYUF projects advocate healthy lifestyle, respect towards the environment, active community life, establishment of democracy, human rights development and gender equality.

GYUF gives unlimited opportunities to young people for self-realization through financial, advisory and consular support. We believe that there is nothing impossible if we direct all our creativity, innovations and motivation to the achievement of our aims and objectives, especially when we have the support of sister organizations from around the world. It is foreseen to enlarge our cooperative network by establishing brunches in Nepali, USA and other parts of the Earth.

 

Our Slogan is: "The Youth are Diamonds, waiting to be shaped into Brilliants".

Election Observation Mission

Tbilisi, Georgia

 

On May 30, Sunday 2010, elections were held in Georgia for local councils and for mayor of the country's capital, Tbilisi. On this occasion Global Youth Union Foundation jointly with its Danish partner ”Support Initiative for Liberty and Democracy“ NGO (SILBA), conducted an election observation mission in Tbilisi. Delegates from Poland, Belarus, Denmark, Georgia and of course Armenia were present. The main goal was to visit polling stations and check, whether the elections were held democratically and without frauds. The EOM was financed by the ALDE group in the European Parliament.
